Registrar Accreditation Board (RAB) operates accreditation programs for ISO 14001 registrars and auditor training course providers through the ANSI-RAB National Accreditation Program. RAB independently offers certification programs for environmental management systems (EMS) and environmental auditors. RAB’s auditor certification program was expressly designed to promote and recognize the integrity and rigor of the EMS auditing profession. Through RAB auditor certification, an independent, third-party verification of an auditor’s credentials is performed. RAB processes assure that certified auditors have attained carefully selected and rigorous qualifications. RAB certification grades include: EMS Lead Auditor, EMS Auditor, Environmental Auditor, and Environmental Provisional Auditor.
