The
CHMM program is designed to protect the public by requiring a
level of professional competency through examination, continuous
training, and a code of ethics. Various regulatory and
bureaucratic entities now require the CHMM stamp of approval to
validate plans and projects. But what is the state of this
recognition? Which agencies or companies accept our accreditation?
What might other entities look for in a certification? This forum
will review the status of the Institute of Hazardous Materials
Management and of ACHMM nationally, and ask what is happening in
local chapters. We'll hear from the regulatory, military,
industrial, and academic sectors. You will have an
opportunity to determine the action needed to improve an already
strong CHMM program.

Past
Presidents Roundtable
Continuity
in an organization of volunteers is extremely challenging at best.
This roundtable is an effort to establish a tradition we hope will
be useful. The Past Presidents Roundtable will meet before and
during the conference to explore areas of vital interest to the
health and growth of the CHMM program. The past leaders will be
tasked with reviewing, recommending, and reporting to the new
Academy officers and board members and to the Institute. Part of
their report will be presented during the CHMM Certification
Congress. |
