Cartwright PE, CHMM, CPIM* is a Management Director for ManTech Environmental, a remediation technology firm. Prior to joining ManTech as Director of Chicago Operations, he performed contract assignments including working as a Chief Resident Engineer at a 20-acre landfill closure, teaching CHMM Review courses, and operating a wastewater treatment plant at a superfund site. Having been certified in 1985, Mr. Cartwright is one of the original CHMM's. He co-founded the Chicago ACHMM Chapter in 1987. He is also the co-developer of the first National CHMM Review Course. After serving on the National Academy Board for many years, he was elected President of the Academy in 1996. He led the Academy towards its current stand-alone incorporation during a critical time period in the evolution of the CHMM Certification Program. He continues to serve the Academy at the local chapter level and is currently a member of 8 local chapters. He is a nationally recognized motivational speaker on CHMM Certification and Professional Ethics. He has recently been nominated to become a Director for the National Academy in 2002.
